Augmented Reality in the classroom!

“Build molecules, explode volcanoes, build a human heart and even hold an entire solar system in the palm of your hands! The Augmented Reality Development Lab delivers 3D interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences for the classroom. Showcased at the TCEA Convention 2011 this "i" generation technology is putting gaming technology in the heart of the classroom.”

TCEA allow attendees of the convention to do research on new tendency for initiating the classroom learning experience with more than 100 workshops and 300 simultaneous sessions from the basics to industry-leading trends in educational technology. Exhibitors wanted to show off their products to educators and administrators who want to increase technology in their classrooms, schools, and districts.

The Augmented Reality Development Lab (ARDL) was a complete success because it led the show by drawing the attention of major educators, administrators, and key decision makers. The ARDL was formed to supply a classroom environment of the future, where students from around the world learn by sharing and creating Augmented Reality (AR) experiences. By using this technology, students will explore syllabus that they have only imagined, communicating and interacting with other students to support their journey and exploration. With the release of ARDL, not only Augmented Reality capabilities are obtainable to students, but also they can create it themselves. ARDL is the combination of the latest or most advanced technology with the commitment to exceptional thought provoking education.

Overall, I realize that it’s a good new for student like us that AR stretched its legs to classrooms. So, I assume that this would be an advantage to us. If you have any different ideas, feel free to comment.
