His latest experiment he shows us perspective based 3d interaction, all for the price of a Wiimote and a pair of safety goggles. His other experiments include a multi-touch screen using nothing more then a Wiimote and some infrared lights on a pen, normally costing well over thousands of dollars. But for now, here is Virtual Reality the Wii-way.
And the answer is yes. Any game control of same sort is considered an Augmented Reality.
Another example is as below:
sensor , injected sport shoes along with displays on the heads-up of the augmented reality- the visor. Play with your friends around the world, using smart phone technologies. Anywhere and anytime!

The thing is did you not notice? Augmented reality REQUIRES hardware.It is not a stand alone entity.It REQUIRES hardware such as phones and Monitirs to display.
